The Botany Family & Children’s Centre encourages and welcomes involvement from volunteers.

Volunteering makes a big difference within our community and could open you up to new experiences, meeting new people, enhancing or learning new skills and gaining work experience while you are assisting families. It is an also an opportunity to expand and develop your own professional skills and knowledge.

Why not give it a go? 

Volunteer roles may include:

  • Administrative/Office assistant
  • Playgroup assistant
  • Office support



Suitability of volunteers is determined through an interview process, unless otherwise stated, the minimum age for volunteering is 18 years of age. Volunteers will be required to provide a Working with Children Check.

Successful applicants are provided with an orientation package, job description, code of conduct and confidentiality agreement.



We believe that volunteers make a valuable contribution to the Centre. While volunteers are not paid workers, the work they perform is in no way less valuable, relevant or necessary than that of paid workers.
