The management committee forms the board that makes strategic decisions about how the organisation runs and is governed. BFCC's management and staff (including other volunteers) action the governance decisions.

Committee Member and Chairperson since 2019
Janelle has extensive management experience in the working with children, young people and families in the child protection, out of home care and disability service sectors.
She has sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary research and evidence-informed practice and brings a systematic approach to leadership, service design, planning and delivery, and quality assurance.
Committee Member and Deputy Chair since 2023
Matt has extensive leadership experience in both the corporate and private sectors, across sports administration, not-for-profit, member association, technology and FMCG.
He holds Bachelor & Masters degrees in Business Administration from Macquarie University and the Australian Institute of Business.
Matt brings to BFCC skills in customer relations, corporate strategy, revenue generation, corporate partnerships and lives locally in the Randwick LGA.
Committee Member and Secretary since 2021
Tony has previously held the Deputy Chairperson role with BFCC.
He has extensive international management experience across a range of industries including Not-For-Profit organisations in the disability sector.
Tony brings a wealth of knowledge in marketing, human resources and organizational change to support our future growth.

Peter has previously held the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson roles with BFCC for a number of years.
As a senior executive he has deep experience leading and delivering data and technology projects across both the private and public sectors. Peter brings strong strategic planning, governance and technical experience to help steer our future direction.
Committee Member and Treasurer since 2025
Thakshila is a seasoned finance professional with over 15 years of experience across the public and private sectors. She specializes in financial reporting, compliance, policy development, ESG & sustainability, capital markets, corporate finance, and research.
With CPA Australia and CIMA (UK) qualifications, alongside a BSc in Finance and an MBA, she combines technical expertise with strategic insight. She has guided organizations through financial challenges, enhanced governance, and informed strategic decisions with evidence-based insights. Passionate about purpose-driven organizations, she is committed to creating positive impacts for communities.
BFCC Manager since 2007
Rachael has 25-years' experience across government and non-government sectors.
She has worked in a variety of areas including domestic/family violence, women's health, family support, men, and children & young people. In addition, she has held positions on several community boards and advisory committees, working with diverse communities locally and interstate.
Rachael is passionate about 'grass roots' community services, where projects supported by local organisations help address local needs.

Rosie brings 15 years’ experience in operational and corporate responsibility roles across major Australian corporations, NSW Government and the non-profit sector in Australia and overseas.
Rosie has an MBA from Melbourne Business School, a Graduate Certificate in Social Impact from the Centre for Social Impact (UNSW) and an BA (Honours) in Development Studies from the ANU.
Committee Member since March 2023
Tury has extensive frontline and management experiences in the community service sector and is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers. She has experience as a private practitioner in couple relationship and sexology as well as a fieldwork educator in Bachelor and Master of Social Work courses.
She has served on the management board of several local and overseas not-for-profit organisations and is also a member of the Institute of Community Directors Australia.
Tury brings to BFCC significant skills and experience in social work and corporate governance.

Kate brings with her more than 20 years’ senior experience in the NFP sector.
Kate is responsible for leading discovery and innovation through human-centered design, telling the story through marketing, comms and partnerships and creating moments that matter through customer experience for people with a disability.
